趣味の＜英訳歌詞＞ 第７回投稿
ライフワークの賢治作品英訳の傍ら、趣味として英訳したお気に入りの歌曲を徒然なるままに投稿しますので程々にお付き合いの程。
望むべくは音声入り投稿ですが、これからその環境作りに励みますので暫くお待ち願います。

けれどもいまごろちょうどおまえの年ごろで／おまえの素質と力をもっているものは／
町と村との一万人のなかになら／おそらく五人はあるだろう
Meanwhile, among ten thousand people in towns and villages there must be five performerｓ
who have, at the same age as you, as great aptitude and as much capability as you do.
それらのひとのどの人もまたどの人も／五年のあいだにそれを大抵無くすのだ
Anyone of them usually gets rid of their talent during five years.
生活のためにけづられたり／自分でそれをなくすのだ
Because they,in the course of making their living, are to be deprived of them for themselves.
すべての才や力や材というものは／ひとにとどまるものでない／ひとさえひとにとどまらぬ
No talents, mastery and property are likely to remain in ourselves.
Even no people are likely to stay in people themselves.
云はなかったが／おれは四月はもう学校に居ないのだ
恐らく暗くけわしいみちをあるくだろう／そのあとでおまえのいまのちからがにぶり

My road to walk by would be grim and critical, I dare say,
そのあとでおまえのいまのちからがにぶり／きれいな音の正しい調子とその明るさを失って／
ふたたび回復できないならば／おれはおまえをもう見ない
After my leaving school, your current gifts for music got blunted, and
the beautiful timbre of your rendering became out of tune and blurred,
unable to restore the previous timbre of yours,I won’t see to you any longer.
なぜならおれは／すこしぐらいの仕事ができて／そいつに腰をかけてるような／
そんな多数をいちばんいやにおもうのだ
.Because I dislike intensely a number of people who are apt to pride themselves on their work ability
without trying to better themselves
